The summer is fast approaching and many Year 5  pupils will be keen to go out on their bikes. In the interests of safety we are pleased to be able to offer an ‘off road’ cycling proficiency course which will be delivered by a PCSO (Police Community Support Officer) at Holy Rosary on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th June and your child has expressed an interest in taking part.

 

In order to participate your son/ daughter will require:-

·         A helmet.

·         Sensible footwear.

·         Bright and practical clothing.

·         A suitably sized and well maintained cycle- sorry no ‘stunt bikes’.

 

The course will be delivered by a trained PCSO instructor in two half day blocks. Each course has a maximum number of 15 participants for safety reasons and will need a parent helper.

 

In order to finance these days we would like to ask for a voluntary donation of £2 per pupil. All reply slips will be required by Friday 24th May at the latest so that materials can be ordered by PCSO Forsyth.

 

All successful pupils will also be eligible for the more advanced on road training which has already been booked for this October.
