Welcome to Holy Rosary RC Primary School:

New initiative: the Maths programme which the children use in school has now been made available through Dropbox and this will be the means by which updated copies of the programme will be made available to you.  If we have your Email on file, you will be having an invitation with the link to the file folder soon.  If you have not had an invitation (parents of children in the Juniors) by September please send an Email requesting one to headteacher@holyrosary.staffs.sch.uk

Holy Rosary is one of just two RC Primary Schools in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.  It is located on Alexandra Road, Winshill and is part of the Diocese of Nottingham.  Most children transfer from the school to Blessed Robert Sutton RC High School in Stapenhill.

Holy Rosary is part of the Winshill Family of Schools which also includes: Abbot Beyne Secondary School; Tower View Primary and Winshill Village Primary.

Holy Rosary Pre-school

Holy Rosary Pre-school is housed within Holy Rosary school and runs sessions for children from three years up.  This child care provider is run independantly of the school and a place at the pre-school does not automatically result in a place in the main school.  If you wish to enquire about a place at the pre-school please ring 01283 239035.

School Awards

The school has recently achieved Healthy Schools status, Artsmark Status, Activemark and Eco-Schools status.  The school also holds Dyslexia Friendly Level Two and Deaf Friendly Status.


Early Years Childcare

Early Years Childcare works with families and childcare providers to help ensure that the early years and childcare needs of Staffordshire families are met.

The Family Information Service is a free service for families with children aged up to 19 years, (finding childcare, support groups and more).

They also have support, training, and funding for existing and potential childcare providers.
